NIRMALA RAJASEKAR
NIRMALA RAJASEKAR
Modest though she is, Nirmala is arguably the best Veena player in Minnesota. By dint of hard labor she has scaled the heights of this ancient instrument and made a musical life for herself that is the envy of gurus everywhere. She is also recognised in her native South India as a megastar. Life in the prairie has allowed her to explore colaborations and the composing side of her nature.
Here she talks about getting a crack team of virtuoso musicians together for her "Song of the Veena" release, here in the land of frozen lakes and mild curries.
From Podcast: ALIVE AND COMPOSING.
